The Chilcotin Raspberry is a summer fruiting variety that produces heavy crops of good quality fruit. Sturdy, almost thornless canes carry sweet fruit in mid-summer. They are a mid season variety. This variety has good disease resistance. They fruit on the floricanes, which are the previous years growth. Prune out each cane as it finishes fruiting and tie up the new seasons growth (primocanes) to fruit the next year.
