Ginger Cassumunar is a species in the ginger family that grows to 2m, with yellow rhizomes used as a traditional medicine in SE Asia.
The flowers are distinctive and large, with maroon-brown bracts arising from the base. In summer, cream flowers emerge between the bracts in a pretty display. Known as Plai in Thailand 🌿
