The ancient Jujube

Highly revered for over 4000 years in Chinese history, the Jujube has now gained popularity around the world. The fruit has a pleasant, sweet taste, and the texture resembles that of an apple. They can be processed in various ways - eaten fresh, dried, candied, or made into jam, pulp or wine. Jujubes are an extremely hardy, deciduous tree growing between 5-10m. They tolerate drought, saline soils and cool winters, which make them a highly adaptable crop well suited to a range of climatic conditions. Great for inland and southern mainland Australia. While most cultivars are self-fertile, some do like cross-pollination 🌿 #daleysfruit #jujube #jujubetree
